A Caorle c’è ancora un grande attaccamento e rispetto nei confronti della tradizione e della pratica della voga alla veneta, tanto che questa disciplina viene promossa anche nelle scuole caorlotte attraverso progetti dedicati.
Si rema in piedi rivolti verso prua per scrutare il paesaggio circostante su imbarcazioni dal fondo basso, con una tecnica di navigazione particolare per monitorare il livello del fondale, basso e sabbioso, tipico della laguna, ambiente in cui questa specialità è nata. A Caorle solitamente si voga sulle nostre imbarcazioni tipiche dette caorline, la cui caratteristica principale è nella forma della prua e della poppa, allungate verso l'alto ed esattamente uguali.
